Yellow Couch Time
The YCT Consent project was inspired by a Facebook post from Meghan International Ms. Bootblack 2016 in April of 2017.
From the original interview with Meghan, the project grew to include the voices of many different demographics within the Leather, LGBTQ and kink communities.
The purpose of this project is to enhance the importance of consent for all people, throughout our global community.
Part one featured the input from Pup Kato Alexander, Goddess Moon O'Neal and of course Meghan.
With contributions coming in from all over the world Thomas began to organize them into themed videos.
The first needed to be about Pup and Dog consent, due to the nature of a consent issue which arose in our Cleveland Leather Community.
The video carried messages from Pups both masculine and Feminine. GPup Alpha from Austrailia and Pup Teena from the SF Bay area, each took turns pointing out important consent guidelines from their perspectives.
6/22/2017 we released YCT Pony Edition and heard the voices of human ponies on the topic of consent. Whinn pony from Georgia and Gemma Equine from the United Kingdom, shared insights into the headspace of a pony and how their kink relates to consent.
7/14/2017 The House of Hunt, an internationally renowned leather house based in Portland Oregon shared their protocols for consent within the structure of a leather family.
8/1/2017 Velvet Storm Ms. New Jersey Leather 2017 spoke on how consent relates to having disabilities like PTSD and Ignixia spoke about how spaces and organizations can be more accommodating to the folx with mobility issues They also both made good points about consent as it relates to being a leather person with a service animal.
8/19/2017 We released YCT with contributions from South Africa, where Pi Delport and Ms. South Africa Leather 2017 spoke about consent as it applies to committed relationships. Their contribution solidified the international flavor of the series and inspired a desire to find more international voices to speak on how consent relates to the various aspects of a leather life.
The next videos in the series will include, Voices of our Elders and Consent applied to being a Person Of Color!
